20% Discount on QID Renewal Fee
The Government of Qatar provides 20% discount on QID renewal fee for family members under the personal sponsorship of their spouse or father/mother or head of the family. Please note that the 20% discount is applicable only if you apply for QID renewal for 3 years and not for 1 year or 2 years.
The Qatar ID Renewal Fee Discount is exclusively for family members of the expatriate workers living in Qatar. This discount is not applicable to any other applicant categories.
Qatar ID Card Delivery Fee
The QID Renewal Fee mentioned above is for the ID card renewal process only. If you want to get your Qatar ID Card delivered by Qatari Post, you need to pay QAR 20 as a delivery fee.
In case you want to save money, you can avoid the ID Card Delivery option during QID Renewal Application. In this situation, you will receive an SMS/email when your ID Card is ready to collect. Thereafter you are required to visit the MOI service center personally to collect your Qatar ID Card.

There are 3 different ways to apply for Qatar ID renewal in 2025. Out of them, two methods are online and one method is offline. Based on your convenience, you can choose a suitable method to submit your QID renewal application online or in-person.

NOTE:
- If you are under personal sponsorship of your spouse or parent then your sponsor should apply for your Qatar ID renewal.
