Step 1: Go to Qatar MOI Portal

You need to go to Qatar MOI Portal official website @portal.moi.gov.qa. If the MOI portal appears in Arabic language, you can click on English option to change the language.

Step 2: Select Inquiries

Scroll down a little to find Inquiries option and click on it to go to MOI Inquiries Page.

Step 3: Choose Metrash

The MOI Qatar provides various inquiry services such as Traffic Inquiries, Visa Services, Residency Permit Inquiry and many more. Check the list and choose Metrash option to continue.

Step 5: Provide Your QID Number, Mobile Number and Other Details

Here you need to enter your 11-digit Qatar ID Number, your Vodafone Mobile Number, your Date of Birth and select language Arabic or English as you prefer.

Enter the Captcha Code as shown in the image and finally click on Subscribe button to register your Vodafone number with QID online at MOI portal.

Step 1: Open Metrash2 App on Your Mobile

After the Metrash2 app is downloaded and installed on your mobile, open the App Menu and click on Metrash2 app icon to open the application.

Step 2: Select Registration via SMS option

Select your language as English or Arabic and select Registration via SMS option using the Metrash2 app.

Step 3: Provide Your QID Number

Here you need to enter your 11-digit QID Number and click on Next button.

Step 4: Provide Your QID Expiry Date

Enter your Qatar ID Expiry Date same as stated on your QID Card. Then click on Next button.

Step 5: Select Yes and click on Send

Here, select Yes to Generate SMS for Metrash2 Activation and Mobile Number Registration with QID.

An SMS will be created automatically and you need to click on Send button to send the SMS to 92992.

Make sure that you send the SMS from the same Vodafone mobile number which you want to register with your QID and access Metrash2 services.

Step 6: Enter the Activation Key and Create PIN/Password

After sending SMS, soon you will receive a New Message from Metrash. Open the New SMS to view your Two-Part Activation Key for Metrash2 Activation and Vodafone number registration with QID card.

Get back to Metrash2 App and enter the part 1 and part 2 of the Activation Key in their respective boxes.

Thereafter you need to Create New PIN/Password that you want to use for Metrash2 App Login. You must enter the PIN twice and click on Submit button to confirm it.

Step 7: Enter PIN, Login and Accept Metrash2 Terms & Conditions

3. Find out and select Change/Manage Mobile Number option in My Account.
4. Enter your New Mobile Number and verify it with an OTP.
5. Provide additional details, if needed, and submit.

In this way, you can change your registered mobile number with QID online at MOI portal and also through Metrash2 App.

After 24 hours of changing mobile number with QID, you will start receiving government service alerts/notifications on the new mobile number.

How to Deregister Mobile Number with QID

2. Select Inquiries and then select Metrash tab.

6. Click on Unsubscribe button and confirm it.

After 24 hours of deregistration, you will no longer receive any alert message from any government agency in Qatar.
