Reactivate Residence Permit by QID Number Online

The Ministry of Interior offers an online service (e-service) on MOI website portal to reactive a residence permit by Qatar ID number easily. Kindly follow the steps given here to reactivate RP by QID online in Qatar.

Step 1: Go to Qatar MOI Portal

You should open a web browser and go to Ministry of Interior (MOI) official website @portal.moi.gov.qa.

Step 2: Select E-Services

On Qatar MOI homepage, click on MOI Services and select E-Services to go to E-Services Page.

Step 3: Login with QID Number and Password

Here you need to login with your Qatar ID Number and Password. If you are a new user, register yourself with your personal details and then login with your QID and Password to continue.

Step 4: Select Residency Services

After login, you can see the list of E-Services offered by MOI. Find and select Residency Services option.

Step 5: Select Reactivate RP by QID Number

From various Residency Services, you need to select Reactivate RP by QID Number service.

Step 6: Enter QID Number and Other Info

Now, you need to provide Qatar ID Number of the person whose Residence Permit needs to be reactivated. For example: If you want to reactivate your spouse’s residence permit, you need to enter their QID Number, Passport Number and other personal information.

Step 7: Enter Captcha Code and Submit

After providing all required details, enter the Captcha Code and click on Submit button to proceed.

Step 8: Pay the Fee Online

You need to pay QAR 520 as fee for reactivation of residence permit and QAR 20 for New Residence Permit delivery to applicant’s doorstep by Qatari Post. After payment, you should save & print the payment receipt.

If you choose to collect new residence permit from MOI service center, you do not need to pay QR 20 as delivery fee.

As you complete the fee payment process, your request to reactive residence permit by QID will be submitted to MOI Qatar.

Reactivate RP through Metrash2 App

The residence permit reactivation service is also available in Metrash2 App on mobile phone. The sponsor/employer can apply for reactivating their worker’s RP by QID Number with help of Metrash2 mobile app on their Android or iPhone device.

Kindly follow the steps given here to apply to reactivate RP by QID Number through Metrash2 App.

1. Open Metrash2 App on your mobile phone.
2. Register (if not already) and Login with your QID Number and PIN.
3. Select Services section and click on Residency.
4. Find and select Reactivate RP by QID Number.
5. Provide QID Number of the person whose RP needs reactivation.
6. Provide other personal details about the person.
7. Pay the QR 520 as RP Reactivation Fee and QR 20 as Delivery Fee online.
8. Save fee payment receipt and submit.

The Ministry of Interior will take 2-3 working days to process your request for reactivation of residence permit by QID Number after you submit your request and pay the fee.

You will receive an email/SMS from MOI when your New Residence Permit is ready to collect or dispatched through QPost to be delivered at your home.
