The Qatar ID comes with a certain validity and it requires renewal when its validity is over. The minimum validity of a QID is one year and its maximum validity is 10 years. The Qatar ID renewal fee is different based on the applicant category and selected renewal period.

Qatar ID Renewal Fee Payment Rules

The Qatar ID Renewal Fee is payable at the time of applying for QID Renewal online or in-person. If you are under a company’s sponsorship, the company will pay your QID renewal fee. If you are under the personal sponsorship of your spouse or other family member, your sponsor will pay your QID renewal fee.

Furthermore, the QID renewal fee is different for people under company’s sponsorship and people under personal sponsorship.   • Students [i.e. Students under the Sponsorship of a University or Educational Institute]

  • Expatriate Workers – QAR 1000
  • Family Members – QAR 500

QID Renewal Fee for 2 Years

  • Expatriate Workers – QAR 2000

QID Renewal Fee for 3 Years

The Government of Qatar provides 20% discount on QID renewal fee to the Family Members under Personal Sponsorship if they apply for Qatar ID renewal for 3 years. So, you can save 20% money on fees if you apply to renew your spouse/children’s ID Card for 3 years.

  • Family Members – QAR 1200 [i.e. QAR 1500 – 20% Discount]

The discount on QID QID Renewal Fee is not applicable for Expat Workers, Domestic Workers and Students.

  • Expatriate Workers – QAR 3000
  • Domestic Workers – QAR 900
  • Students – QAR 300

Qatar ID Card Delivery Fee

When you apply for QID Renewal, you have to pay the renewal fee as mentioned above. In addition, you must pay QID Card Delivery Fee of QAR 20 to receive your ID Card via QPost i.e. Qatari Post Service.

The Qatar ID Delivery Fee is not applicable if you select the option to collect your ID Card personally from the MOI Expatriate Affairs Department Office.
